Clinical Supervision Training in Denver, CO
Supervision of supervision
Khara is excited to work with fellow mental health supervisors including those pursuing the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) Credential as well as Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisors in the state of Colorado.
The ACS credential requires supervisors to accrue their own supervision hours to build skills and further develop their professional identities as supervisors. The endorser for clinical supervision for the ACS applicant must be an NCC, licensed mental health provider, or licensed supervisor. In addition, the person must have completed clinical supervision training. This endorser supervises the applicant as they supervise others to confirm supervision competency.
Khara checks all the boxes to support therapist colleagues who are pursuing the ACS credential and values working together to shape the next generation of supervisors. As an ACS herself, Khara has supervised other clinicians for the past 7 years. She is passionate about the topic of quality supervision, so much so that she co-authored The Empowerment Model of Clinical Supervision in 2019! Khara offers clinical supervision to Masters-level therapists and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates (LPCCs) seeking licensure requirements for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado. This includes regular supervision and crisis support for client populations of youth 12 years and older and their families that are considered at-risk with a history of trauma, mental health diagnoses, and/or social services or probation involvement.
